We are seeking an Environmental Specialist with a strong interest in working in the field with hazardous waste. The ideal candidate will work in teams to perform lab pack services, including chemical segregation, packing, and disposal, as well as conducting chemical inventories. You will also perform audits and inspections of facilities and laboratories, assist management in developing top accounts, and devise standard operating procedures. This role requires supervisory leadership skills and interaction with team members.

Health & Safety knowledge.
Environmental science background .
Customer service experience.
OSHA 40 certification.
Field surveying experience.
Field service experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (Environmental Science preferred).
Degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geology, Marine, or related fields are also acceptable.
Prior work experience, ideally hands-on or in customer service (not research).
Personable and able to interact with clients daily.
Comfortable with the physical aspects of packing and disposing of chemicals.
Work Environment
This position involves working on-site at various locations throughout the Greater Boston area, including Bio/Pharma companies, life science companies, hospitals, and schools (higher education). The job is 100% field-based with no typical day, as tasks and clients vary daily. Candidates will report to the Somerville office every day and then drive to different sites in a company vehicle with a team of 1-4 other people. Workdays are 8-10 hours long, starting at 6 or 7 am. Teams consist of 2-5 people, including a team lead who will provide guidance and answer questions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
