SHI Public Sector Inside Account Executive - Development in Somerset, New Jersey

Job Summary

The Inside Account Executive- Developmentrole atSHIisan initialstepping stoneintoB2BITsales.Ourtwelve-monthprofessional development programtakesa holistic approachtopreparing you forasuccessful sales careerusing a combination of practical, instructor/peer-led, andself-paced learning.

The program's first three months willprovideafoundationalunderstandingofTechnology and how Public Sector customers use it to achieve desired business outcomes.Participants will learn tosellprofessionally, including operating systems and tools,profilingaccounts,prospecting,resourceutilization,andpreparingfor customer meetings.We will alsoprovidecoaching on professional communicationand etiquette.

The program continues with participants being given individual books of business to develop.You will be part of a sales team and learn by being shoulder-to-shoulder with peers.Continuous coaching and development will beprovidedto ensure a seamless transition. At the end of thetwelve-monthprogram, you will be eligible for promotion to an Inside Account Executive and have the opportunity for increased earnings with the addition of a commission plan.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Engage proactively in all program sessions, fostering a keen sense of participation.

  • Diligently complete all self-paced training modules, ensuring a thorough understanding of the content.

  • Cultivateexpertiseinutilizingvarious sales tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Show a consistent interest in expanding your technology knowledge, embracing continuous learning.

  • Take part in prospecting activities and call blocks, contributing to the team's lead-generation efforts.

  • Strive to meet or exceed the defined Managed Business Objectives, settinghigh standardsfor performance.

  • Seek a deep understanding of the customer's businessobjectives, IT priorities, and initiatives, enabling you to align our solutions effectively.

  • Identify, create, develop, and manage opportunities within the sales pipeline and sales management platform, driving sales growth.

  • Regularly update the customer profile information in our CRM, ensuring data accuracy and relevancy.

  • Providecustomer quotes and manage order placements based on their requests, ensuring a smooth transaction process.

  • Collaborate effectively withpreand post-sales internal support teams, fostering a cohesive approach to customer service.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Attend product and sales training asrequired, consistently enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred orrelevant sales experience

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Drive to meet or exceed sales targets and a self-motivated, proactive approach

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Resilience and grit

  • Effective time management.

  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback

       Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Additional Information

  • This position offers a $40,000 base salary and a bonus opportunity of up to $1250 per month.

  • Bonus earnings are based on successful attainment of Managed Business Objectives (MBOs) set by management. MBOs may change from month to month but will be communicated clearly ahead of time.

  • Benefits may include but are not limitedtomedical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
