Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes; test system modifications to prepare for implementation; work on complex projects within the Transportation industry and apply knowledge of software testing and analysis concepts, practices and procedures; document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers; create and maintain databases of known defects; participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules; develops Test Approach, Test Plan, Test Schedule, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases based on requirements; perform test case writing, test execution, and defect logging; execute Test Cases and capture Test Results in Test Management Tool or client-specific format; provide test execution summary/update to test lead; participate in test status calls and other project discussions; manage the defect management process during the testing phase; document issues and defects found in Defect Management Tool; and participate in root cause analysis with development. Partial telecommuting permitted.Position requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Informatics, Information Systems, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software QA/Testing occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: All phases of software development testing methodologies, including testing of functional/non-functional scenarios in support of integrated multi-platform systems supporting high volume transaction processing across distributed data acquisition points, and using Waterfall, Iterative, or Agile methodologies.
