Opengate Inc. Assistant Director of Clinical Services in Somers, New York

Provides supervision/oversight to agency Behavior Intervention Specialists (BIS), and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals (QIDP). Provide coverage for the department in the absence of the Director of Clinical Services. Participate in agency-wide committees, as assigned. Interact with employees regarding clinical issues and provide program support as needed Interact with people receiving supports and families and provide emotional/clinical support as needed. Conduct regular site visits. Conduct/coordinate comprehensive assessments of service and support under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services. Advocate and collaborate to ensure delivery of qualitative and comprehensive services and supports. Provide clinical support and education to treatment and department team members. Maintain contact with external mental health providers, share and coordinate follow-up as recommended by providers. Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input as needed. Liaison with care managers as needed. Complete and document observations of people receiving supports as needed Complete required documentation within designated time frames. Serve as a resource to staff on clinical issues and act as a bridge between the programs and clinical department. Train staff (both in person and through remote means) on implementation of behavioral programs, review documentation, and provide reports as requested. Act as a resource and liaison regarding clinical issues between and among team members, clinics, mental health practitioners, hospitals, day programs, and families. Maintain certification in SCIP-R and provide crisis intervention for individuals when necessary. Manage, maintain, follow-up with assigned BIS and QIDP caseload during vacancies and as needed. Provide coverage for BIS and QIDP caseload, as needed. Coordinates outreach to support admissions to agency programs Act as agency liaison with the OPWDD CRO team. Develops and maintains relationships with external referral sources. Maintains on-going documentation as indicated Precision Care notes, individual rights documentation, and other needed paperwork. Maintains up-to-date wait lists for residential and day programs and uses designated tracking sheets for vacancy management. Assists with program planning and implementation as needed Adheres to governing agency regulations, agency policies and procedures, and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure that agency vacancies are filled by appropriate candidates in a timely manner. Qualifications

Masters degree in psychology or related human service field required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing, preferred. Minimum three years experience working with persons with Autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Demonstrates competency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Knowledge and experience in the development of data-based curriculum goals and the ability to develop behavior support/intervention plans based on functions of behavior. OPWDD experience preferred. Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, objectivity and ability to anticipate needs. Ability to be efficient and well organized. Critical thinking and sound judgment skills are necessary. Must be computer proficient. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the Agency in public and with governmental and private agencies.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000.
