Following important contract wins with significant national and regional Contractors, we are looking for two experienced individuals to join our team and provide technical authority of the solutions we provide to our customers’ construction sites.

The role of Technical Account Manager will work alongside the Key Account Team to provide both pre- and post- sales technical support to ensure that on-site solutions are specified in line with customer needs and technical feasibility.

These roles are a significant part of Biosite’s evolution and will ensure that there is in line of sight between the technical solution specified to the customer the technical solution installed and commissioned by the Biosite.

Joining our Operations team, the Technical Account Manager will build personal relationships with Customer site teams and maintain a reputation as technical authority with those teams and also within the Biosite organisation. The role holders will be responsible for all technical aspects relating to our key customers, including site surveys of complex installation requirements, validating the technical solution proposed and delivered, and alongside the Key Account Manager, acting as a key advocate for in-life improvement. The role holders will work closely with the Biosite installation and service managers to ensure the customer is always receiving a professional service.

The position will report directly to the Head of Installation and is available as a hybrid role, combining home working/head office working and site visits.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Pre-sales support for complex site solutions; customer guidance on best fit technical solutions against site requirements.

  • Site survey and technical sign-off

  • Installation and commissioning instructions and requirements validation.

  • Issuing RAMs/SoWs to Site team ahead of installation and commissioning.

  • Articulating access restrictions and requirement, including creation of Lift Plans as required.

  • Post-sales support for complex site solutions; providing guidance to the Customer and to Biosite for continued best fit.

  • Validation of applications for payments placed under Customer Sub-contract orders, to ensure payments are efficiently received for works undertaken.

    Key working relationships (internal and external)

  • Customers - building site team relationships (e.g QS, Project Manager, Site Manager) to provide guidance and technical authority on best fit solutions, both pre- and post-sale.

  • Key Account Managers and the sales team – to provide technical guidance and support.

  • Installation and service teams – to represent the Customer’s technical requirements and ensure requirements and expectations are clearly understood.

  • Commercial and finance – to support with validation of sub-contract orders and related applications for payment.

    Person Profile: Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge and behaviours

  • Proven experience in a similar management role

  • IOSH or equivalent qualification

  • SMSTS qualification

  • Strong knowledge of 18 edition IET wiring regulations

  • A good understanding of PC hardware

  • A good understanding of fire & security Installations

  • A good understanding of networking, structured cabling & routing

  • Experienced in surveying and estimating duration of works

  • Strong knowledge of Access, Fire & CCTV systems.

  • Able to produce and annotate drawings.
