Eaton Corporation Multi-Site Operations Director EMEA (Location flexible) in Soest, Germany

What you’ll do:

We are pleased to announce that Eaton is looking for a Director for one of our key units in EMEA, who will be in charge for key plants in Europe

  • Leads and manages across multiple EMEA Critical Systems operations sites, teams and processes team to ensure High 5 and Profit Plan goals are met. Directly responsible for leading plants of small, medium and large complexity in a high growth, project, engineer to order business.

  • Ensures that the customer value is central to decision-making, understands the operational value generated within the business units' customer value proposition. Partners with leaders and peers to develop the operational strategy for the business units. Continuously deploy, execute, if needed adjust a holistic operational strategy that provides the best competitive advantage and meets customer needs, identifying and focusing on core competencies, extended internally but also externally value chains including applying coordinated communication to stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve operations and business processes leveraging the Eaton’s Business System with a strong focus on continuous improvement framework / lean culture and standardization of processes for safety, quality, material management, sourcing and cost out, to become a World Class company.

  • Understands the principles of a digital future, the Factory of the future, the need for Industry 4.0 and its imperative going forward.

  • Drives and develops the capability in operations to ensure the achievement of a World Class and Model plant performance. Is setting the right culture to develop an excellent Continues Improvement culture across the operation. Facilitates and leads the delivery of Operational Excellence. Collaborates in the development and delivery of the divisional and regional operations strategy and improvement initiatives. Effectively monitors, measures and evaluates plant performance with the appropriate cadence and alignment the divisional and regional operations. Provides manufacturing support for NPI and for VAVE, Resourcing, Negotiation, CI and Logistics initiatives as part of the delivery of annual cost out goals. Leads and contributes to CI initiatives and is a leader and facilitator in the adoption of appropriate I4.0 technologies. Leads the necessary BOC actions in order to have a sufficient operational talent pool and succession planning in place.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in technical field required. Masters degree preferred

  • 10+ years relevant manufacturing experience, ideally in engineer to order environment

  • Multi - Plant Manager experience

  • Passion for continuous improvement, strong ability to coach, develop & inspire international team members, setting stretching and aggressive schedules/goals for improvement across Operations.
