Jumpstart Enrichment for Tomorrows Students Incorporated Early Head Start Teacher in SNYDER, Texas
This position's primary responsibility shall be implementing a comprehensive early childhood development classroom, as required by the JETS agency and the Head Start Performance Standards. The Early Head Start (EHS) Teacher is responsible for communicating effectively with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children, their parents, and other staff. The teacher also properly addresses the developmental needs of children. Follow the standards stated in the HS Performance Standards and TDHHSC Minimum Standards for child care centers and collaborate with other staff members. Does not supervise any other employee.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass background check
- Must have high school diploma or GED AND an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) or comparable credential equivalent to coursework in Early Childhood Development with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- Must be willing to attend training as needed, work toward CDA credential within 12 months of employment, have an Associate's degree in ECE or have a BA in ECE or equivalent.
- Must be a steady reliable worker, be able to follow specific instructions and perform simple tasks independently
- Must display good language skills and verbal projection
EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to be sensitive, respectful, and accepting of all families.
- Strong organizational skills and computer literacy using Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and Gmail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A plus to be bilingual in Spanish - speaking, reading, and writing
