Duties/Responsibilities:

- - Receiving items, validating contents against the original PO, and working with vendors for any discrepancies.

``` - - Working with our ERP to ensure our inventory is up to date and accurate.

``` - - Work will be in the warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments. Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.

``` - - Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

``` - - Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.

``` - - Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.

``` - - Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.

``` - - Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

``` - - Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.

``` - - Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.

``` - - Collaborate with others to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.

``` - - Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks or sorting bins.

``` - - Contact carrier representatives to plan for or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

``` - - Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.

``` - - Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.

``` - - Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact.

``` - - All other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

- - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

- - High school diploma or equivalent required.

``` - - 3-5 years of industry experience preferred.

``` - - Forklift operator certification preferred.
