OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. OSWs main facility is located in the Maltby area in Snohomish County. OSW and has been in business for over 20 years and has branches in Edmonton, Canada and Tempe, Arizona.

 

As a Material Purchaser on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by buying the equipment, supplies and services our organization needs to operate. This position works closely with various departments such as finance, engineering, and operations to streamline the purchasing process. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

- - Create purchase orders in a complete and timely manner and follow up on urgent and delayed orders.

``` - - Work with SCM to develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and resources to construction sites.

``` - - Support the procurement process, including supplier identification, negotiation, and evaluation to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.

``` - - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure an adequate supply of materials and resources at all times.

``` - - Monitor inventory levels and develop inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

``` - - Optimize logistics operations, including transportation, distribution, and warehousing, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials to the production floor.

``` - - Identify supply chain risks and help develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.

``` - - Drive department improvement projects and drive culture of improvement.

``` - - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

- - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
