Role and Responsibilities
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock.
- Pick orders accurately and attention to details
- Receive and track shipments
- Restock and maintain inventory of orders as needed
- Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools
- Accommodate and carefully handle merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Tag and label merchandise
- Label and stockpile merchandise according to type
- Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards
- Prepare all orders for shipment
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Operate adequate tools (forklift, picker, pallet jack etc.)
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
- Previous experience working in a distribution facility
- Hands on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Mechanical knowledge to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and pickers
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Successfully pass a background and drug screen
Working Days/Hours:
Monday-Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm
Monday-Friday; 4:00pm to 12:30am
Rate of Pay:
$19
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
