GLOCK, Inc. HR Compliance Specialist in Smyrna, Georgia

General Purpose:The HR Compliance Specialist will be responsible for administratively supporting the overall function and compliance of the HR Compliance and Employee Relations Sections as well as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules, regulations, and protocols that are required for the Certified Cargo Screening Facility Program (CCSFP).

  • 8:00 AM to5:00 PM Monday through Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:Proactively support and ensure the smooth and efficient function of the GLOCK HR Compliance Section. Many of the job requirements, but not all, are as follows and other job duties as assigned:

HR:

  • Stay up to date on all employee-related legislative and regulatory changes and developments and assist with ensuring changes to rules and regulations are restructured with HR systems, policies, and practices.
  • Administratively support the Compliance and Employee Relations Sections of Human Resources, as well as the department.
  • Perform and document periodic audits of HR files, records, and Forms I-9; evaluate, make recommendations for improvements; report to section leader.
  • Stay up to date on DOL compliance updates and audit trends to ensure that GLOCK/Human Resources remain in compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files and records.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources.
  • Assist with the coordination and compliance of the Drugs Dont Work program.
  • Maintain labor law poster program and postings in each designated area.
  • Seek process improvements.
  • Use discretion and independent judgement in utilizing a company credit card.
  • Purchase renewal items for Compliance programs, including Drugs Dont Work program.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 in HR.
  • Review and make recommendations for GI and GP EPH (Employment Policy Handbook) policy updates; ensure regulatory complianceand that all employees receive the new copy and sign new 051 Form with each revision/update.
  • Lead and/or assist ER Supervisor to thoroughly investigate and document Title VII allegations, determine conclusion, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Monitor HR processes and practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain HRIS, spreadsheets, and other record keeping programs for EEO and AAP reports and records and ensure that all reports are submitted.
  • Complete and submit annual EEO and VETS-4212 reports.
  • Serve as an HR point of contact to communicate policies and procedures.
  • Provides front-line support in the prevention, resolution, and referral of employee questions or concerns.
  • Prepare and provide quarterly AAP report to Legal department.
  • Review and evaluate employee grievances and make recommendation for resolution.
  • Prepares documentation requests for legal purposes.

TSA:

  • Maintain files on completed STAs and accompanying IDs for at least the minimum time required by TSA.
  • Maintain tracking chart of individuals who are authorized to access the DSA.
  • Maintain list of Certified Cargo Screeners, TSA tests scores, dates of tests, STA numbers, and perform annual recertification.
  • Perform quarterly audits of the DSA and Screeners to ensure compliance with the CCSSSP.
  • Maintain updated files relating to GLOCKs Authorized Representative(s), including full names, job titles, TSA tests scores, and STAs results, and SIAD numbers.
  • Prepare for and participate in TSA audits and inspections.
  • Liaise with managers, supervisors, and security personnel as needed to ensure GLOCKs ongoing compliance with TSAs CCSSSP and guidelines established by GLOCKs Principal Security Coordinator (PSC) and Facility Security Coordinator (FSC).
  • Perform Security Threat Assessments (STA) on employees and temporary personnel who will have access to the Designated Scre ning Area (DSA).
  • Conduct classroom training, administer TSA tests, and oversee the OJT training to certify Screeners.
  • Receive, compile, and maintain shipping documents pertaining to screened cargo, and provide monthly report to the Facility Security Coordinator (FSC).
  • Retrieve and review TSAs monthly authorization reports, and other notifications from governmental agencies.

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform essential duties.

  • The individual must be eligible to be designated as an Alternate Facility Security Coordinator by GLOCK to the TSA. An eligible individual(s): (1) Is a citizen or national of the United States or a Lawful Permanent Resident; (2) is at least 18 years of age; (3) must undergo and pass a Security Threat Assessment; (4) can read, write, and understand English well enough to carry out written and oral instructions; (5) has completed in-class training and successfully passed required tests with a score of not less than 85% on each test; (6) and has completed a minimum of 4 hours of On-the-job Training screening cargo.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of TSA laws and regulations, and 49 CFR 1540.203 - 205.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task numerous responsibilities.
  • Must have the ability to use discretion and independent judgment to analyze data and provide recommendations.

Education and/or Experience:


High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree with emphasis in business or transportation and two years related work experience in transportation; or 4 years related work experience preferred.


Licenses and Certifications:


Valid Drivers License Must successfully pass and maintain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) under TSA regulations
