Commdex Federal Sales Account Executive in Smyrna, Georgia

POSITION OVERVIEW

Commdex is seeking an Federal Account Executive to support our federal customers. This role will be remote and will require frequent travel (40%) to Federal and DOD installations. Ideal candidates will be currently separating from federal agencies possessing a strong mix of relevant C5ISR knowledge and government acquisition experience. Federal Account Executive

, you will be tasked with

Develop relationships with DOD and Federal customers at all levels: end users, supply, officers, KOs, et cetera. Creatively address customer problems, becoming a true resource and solutions provider. Understand contract/funding methods and assist customers in their use. Partner with suppliers to provide the best products and values to meet customer requirements. Determine innovative strategies to win business. Understand and represent Commdex products and services and carry out direct sales activities in order to meet company defined quotas. Provide management with sales plan on a monthly basis Generate quotes for customers and assist them in identifying optimal funding vehicles. Book opportunities to meet Annual targets Work with support teams (operations, finance, logistics, etc.) to ensure that all information is up to date in the system and that orders are delivered in a timely fashion. Regularly following up on closed sales to ensure delivery and quality were as promised. Make cold calls, face-to-face and via telephone prospecting to develop new business. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Absolutely must be a highly competitive, challenge-oriented "self-starter" with the will/desire to be the best. 2-5 years of documented exceptional outside sales performance is required. Those holding superior sales success track record within technology, or other highly competitive sales industry strongly desired. Must be friendly and likable - comfortable talking to "anyone" at all organizational tiers. Ability to learn and think quickly Must possess strong strategic and analytic skills required to analyze customer problems and develop creative and effective solutions. SalesForce experience preferred Understanding of Federal contracts, defense procurement and relevant purchasing methods a plus but not required. 2+ years experience / demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, et cetera. 40% Travel: Able to meet with customers outside under all weather conditions and must be able to travel by car/plane for long distances. Bachelors degree required. Must be highly organized and adept at multi-tasking to juggle the duties of both inside and outside sales. Knowledge of Public Safety Communications Systems a plus
