Developmental Disabilities Institute Accounts Receivable Billing Supervisor in Smithtown, New York
Description
DDI's Accounts Receivable Billing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the receivables functions for their assigned divisions. You will lead a team of A/R personnel that are dedicated to DDI's mission and values. Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 / year
Responsibilities:
Supervise Accounts Receivable staff, providing additional coverage and support where needed.
Work with staff and other departments to implement process improvements and various projects.
Perform account reconciliations and prepare reports/analysis for management and other departments.
Communicate with customers, outside parties, and staff to support collection efforts and resolve outstanding matters.
Manage the workload of the department to promote efficiency and timely completion of tasks.
Reconcile Subledger to General Ledger
Oversee that A/R agings are current
Act as liaison with billing software vendors to implement process changes and resolve outstanding billing items.
Assistance with information and documentation requested for audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Minimum of 4 years reimbursement experience with 2-years supervisory experience preferred.
SED and/or OPWDD billing experience preferred.
Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office skills
Strong problem solving, communication and project management skills
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume tight deadline environment
Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution
Demonstrated flexibility and teamwork
Ability to simplify complex issues.
