Northeast Family Services Intake Coordinator in Smithfield, Rhode Island

The Intake Coordinator helps to manage all aspects of the registration and admissions process for Northeast Family Services in RI. They are responsible for answering incoming calls, gathering referral information, verifying insurance coverage, and scheduling clients’ appointments.

To be successful in the Intake Coordinator position, you need to be highly organized, detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits. Top candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes program directors, clinicians, nurse practitioners, and peers.

This is an on-site position in our new North Providence RI office!

Qualifications:

· HS Diploma or equivalent required

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in patient intake and scheduling

· Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations

· Prior RI Medicaid experience preferred

· Must be able to work on-site in our new North Providence, RI office

· Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)

· Ability to keep client and company confidences

· Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress

· Strong time management and organizational skills
