The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Test and Evaluation Engineer (Level 3) in Smithfield, PA. We provide support to the electronics and electrical manufacturing facility, which supports defense programs from sea-bed to space. Position Overview:

The Experienced Test and Evaluation Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to automate testing and design test equipment, along with supporting the development of new test programs for a growing customer portfolio. This role will include production test support and may include periodic domestic travel. This position will focus on analysis of requirements and integration of testing to validate those requirements in the most efficient way possible.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports Test Technicians with production related testing and troubleshooting

  • Supports design reviews, data analysis, and requirements/Scope of Work (SOW) review.

  • Engages in testing activities to help ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

  • Participates in new business development efforts including bid support and estimates

  • Supports the development and verification of test methods.

  • Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan.

  • Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact.

  • Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements.

  • Uses analytical tools to verify the design.

  • Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements.

  • Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer.

  • Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements.

  • Presents test results internally.

  • Archives data and reports.

  • Trains others.

  • Works under general direction.

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Experience in test Automation.

  • Experience working within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience utilizing LabView, MATLAB, and Python coding.

  • Experience utilizing Software programming, C, C++, etc.

  • Experience working with Embedded Firmware.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. .

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Level 3): $85000 to $101,000
