Robert Half Manager of Applications Development in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry for a Manager of Applications Development at our Sleepy Eye, Minnesota location. In this role, you will oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise applications, work closely with various business units to understand their needs, and act as a liaison between IT and other departments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise applications, including their deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.

• Collaborate closely with various business units to comprehend their requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

• Act as a bridge between IT and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

• Establish clear performance goals, evaluate regularly, and provide constructive feedback.

• Manage relationships with IT vendors to maximize value from projects, purchases, and managed service agreements.

• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and disciplines and make recommendations for team or company improvements.

• Ensure that applications align with business needs and are effectively integrated with existing systems.

• Uphold data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all analytics platforms.

• Leverage skills in Atlassian Jira, Cloud Technologies, CRM, API Development, Application Development, Data Warehousing, Oracle Fusion, and Data lakes.

• Research and implement new technologies to enhance application development processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, application management, or analytics.

• Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).

• Excellent project management skills with experience in Agile or similar methodologies.

•Clear, concise, and precise written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds including non-technical audiences.

• Strong solution-oriented approach to team problem solving.

• Prior experience in application development, with a focus on designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications

• Experience in managing and utilizing data lakes for storing, analyzing, and sharing data

• Strong leadership skills to manage and guide the Applications Development team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on complex information

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
