What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Mechanic? You’ll be:

• Dismantling machinery, equipment, and parts using various hand tools.

• Inspecting parts to determine repair methods.

• Operating metal-working tools to repair parts.

• Reconditioning parts using manual techniques.

• Verifying dimensions and tolerances with precision instruments.

• Reassembling parts and operating a forklift.

• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

• Performing tasks from ladders and scaffolds as necessary.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED with 1-6 months related experience, or an equivalent combination.

• Have basic computer proficiency.

• Are a certified forklift operator.

• Have comprehensive safety training.

• Have knowledge in mechanics, electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Have good auditory and visual capabilities.

• Are able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Are comfortable standing for extended periods.
