Digital Product Design Lead

This position reports into the Global Consumer Data Domain Lead and is based at Skillmanm NJ (relocating to Summit NJ in early 2025) .

Travel %: 5%

Pay: $124,000 - $167,000

What you will do

The Product Design Lead is responsible for leading the product design team in creating innovative and user-friendly designs for digital products.You will oversee the entire design process from ideation to implementation, ensuring that all designs meet the company's standards and goals. This is a deeply cross-functional role where youll partner with product management, engineering, finance, research, data science, marketing, and more to ensure we build the best possible experience for Kenvuers.:

Key Responsibilities

  • In-Depth understanding of research methodologies, ex user interviews, direct observation, ethnography, contextual inquiry, and usability studies.

  • Demonstrated experience of identifying appropriate methodology to be utilized and using the output to drive design projects.

  • Lead with a human-centered design approach and rapidly test concepts to iterate designs

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and user journey map

  • Past experience with design principles (e.g., responsive, mobile-first, and/or data-driven design), with a proven record of designing and delivering end-to-end user-centered products.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product design aligns with business goals and objectives.

  • Knowledge of UX governance processes and development. Demonstrated experience of using current front-end web technologies, native interface guidelines, web services, and APIs.

  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

  • Create and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across all products.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Digital Product Design, Communication Design, UX Design, Interaction design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.

  • Experience in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.

  • 8-10 years of experience in digital product design, with a focus on user-centered design.

  • Good time-management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work, including wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.

  • Experience incorporating AI features to products ensuring end-user explainability

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience leading design teams and mentoring junior designers.

  • Passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and incorporating new design techniques and technologies into product development.

  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.

  • Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $124,000 - $167,000 . This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidates skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
