J&J Family of Companies Associate Manager, CBI Consumer Closeness and Operations in Skillman, New Jersey

This position will contribute to the development of the global functional strategy deploying a consistent approach and driving “Consumer Closeness” while elevating the voice of the consumer with J&J leadership, championing key growth opportunities and helping management mitigate risk.

This position will champion standard global Consumer Business Intelligence (CBI) protocols such as :

  • Consumer Closeness and Social Listening

  • Excellence in project management and Operations

    Consumer Closeness and Social Listening: You will champion the build and adoption of consumer closeness techniques and strategy such as social listening, across Consumer need-states. This role will have strong relationships with cross-functional partners, CBI functional teams as well as senior management. As a Global Associate Manager, you will drive not only the strategic utilization of the Social Listening capability across J&J Consumer Health globally, but you will work with both internal and external resources to advance the capability and continue to develop new and more efficient ways of working. You will also play a role in the driving initiatives to innovate consumer closeness beyond social media analytics.

    Excellence in Project Management: You will provide sustainable value to the CBI function by constantly improving the efficiency of how projects are managed and monitored to avoid potential failure and increase business and return on investment. You will report project metrics that make it clear whether a project team, and CBI is on track towards goals or in need of additional support.

    The Associate Manager, Consumer Closeness and CBI Operations, will be responsible to:

  • Take part in driving global adoption of social listening and advancement of in-house capability

  • Be a strategic advisor to functional business partners on social listening strategy leading to impactful business decisions

  • Continuously innovate beyond social analytics to drive innovative consumer closeness techniques

  • Work with all levels in organization structure from VP’s to Associates as well as with external partners. Develop, maintain and grow the network of business relationships both functionally and cross- functionally, internal and external clientele, and any relevant stakeholders

  • Influence teams to deliver the portfolio of CBI projects on time, on budget, and meeting goals.

  • Champion the development and activation of best-in-class global standards and best practices, while improving overall operational efficiency and effectiveness of the CBI organization.

  • Partner with CBI team to explore new and emergent research tools and approaches for maximum business impact and efficiencies.

  • Partner with relevant CBI teams to plan, monitor and ensure that key strategic global initiatives are managed consistently, remain on track, and continuously drive strong business value via measurement and tracking of key decisions

  • Own and operate the CBI training platform, ensuring wide adoption and constant relevant content updates

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. Advance degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Market Research is required.

  • Experience managing global projects in multinational CPG is preferred.

  • Outstanding communication skills required.

  • Strong influencing and consulting skills, driving results into action is required.

  • Strategic business acumen, focus on results, passion for keeping up with media and technology trends is required

  • Demonstrated ability to improve organizational performance through the application of original thinking to existing and emerging methods, processes, products and services is required

  • Ability to confidently and persuasively communicate orally and through presentations and written documents, make a strong impression in meetings and in one-on-one interactions required

  • Experience managing global projects in multinational CPG is preferred

  • Ability to manage leadership team deliverables effectively with clear communication is required

  • Ability to track complicated budget and communicate financial performance to leadership on a regular basis is required

  • Functional expert on both traditional and new and emergent methods including digital, mobile, implicit techniques, etc. is required

  • Strong attention to details required

  • Must be capable of creating one’s own agenda and deliverables

  • Willingness to listen but also “have an opinion” backed up by insight and analytics and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis
