Description:
Under limited supervision, provides assistance, direction, and other guest services to all patients and visitors. Responds to requests for customer service and maintains a positive public image as an initial point of contact for customers.
Hours: 20 hours per week
Schedule: Schedule may vary based on business needs. At this time they are 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
What you will do:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with MercyOne standards.
Receives and greets patients, patient’s families and significant others in a friendly and helpful manner and provides general information and facilitating their access and use of the hospital appropriate by hospital policy and procedures.
Performs valet services of parking, retrieving, and delivering customer vehicles.
Escort patients and visitors to the appropriate location in the hospital
Ensures a clean and safe working area by keeping the area neat and free of debris, snow, litter, or any other hazards.
Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes.
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the MercyOne and Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or Equivalent Preferred
Valid Driver's license with motor vehicle record that meets requirements of Safe Driver Policy
Ability to stand for long periods of time and effectively work in all types of weather conditions.
Must have a general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e., Healthstream, internet, etc.)
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of MercyOne and Trinity Health.
