ThermoFisher Scientific Sales Manager in Singapore, Singapore

Job Description

The Sales Manager is accountable for delivering the revenue plan for the Southeast Asia (excluding Vietnam) region. This will be achieved by ensuring we have sales leadership that performs highly and is held accountable to deliver on their divisional plans and to work collaboratively across the company to the best effect.

This position will assist the divisions in performance leading their sales executives and highlighting and driving the best cross company opportunities. This position coordinates the overall productivity and collaboration of responsible commercial region with the goal of achieving optimum efficiency, growth & development ahead of market and optimising profits. Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Leader, this position will cultivate close working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure overall region’s effective, efficient operation and success.

Location: The Candidate can be based in either Indonesia, Singapore or Thailand

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Support the enablement and implementation of data-science and omni-channel capabilities for Thermo Fisher Scientific across our largest divisions

  • Responsible for demand generation for the Chemicals portfolio, funnel management, bookings, and achieving revenue targets

  • Coordinates within the Division’s leadership team, including the respective business unit product management, sales, and marketing leaders, to develop effective innovation strategies and define the product strategy roadmap to attain profitable growth with balanced advantages.

  • Lead the strategic direction for the overall region; Manage the sales team to drive sales strategies to meet plan and expand business; Ensure team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives; Run pricing within territory to control profitability

  • Recommends and implements tactical plans and programs for the achievement of sales goals

  • Report quarterly goals aligned to overall corporate and regional objectives

  • Analyze market conditions, competition, trends and industry dynamics to identify areas of new opportunity to grow the portfolio

  • Participate in scientific conferences, tradeshows and related field support activities.

  • Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing

  • Develop strong, consultative relationships with customers and channel partners within the assigned territory, focusing on customer happiness, revenue and margin growth.

Desire skills and experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences or related fields

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in managing customers and sales and marketing in Laboratory Chemicals, Consumables or related industry

  • Knowledge of life sciences and workflows or ands-on laboratory experience in a research lab setting, particularly in the area of genomics is desired.

  • Strong Channel management experience advantageous to know how to work with them.

  • Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and a proven track record working in a matrix environment.

  • Strong sales management experience and proven leadership abilities

  • Service oriented with strong overall business acumen

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Requires excellent communication skills, verbal, and written

  • Proficient in English
