Job Description Summary

The Regional Marketing Manager position provides marketing support & leadership to the Country AAD-VAT marketing teams in the region. The candidate is responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies and tactics, and providing guidance to the country teams to achieve the defined business objectives including market share, revenue and profit goals. The Marketing Manager develops and implements a strategic outlook on the business and is also ready to begin assuming managerial responsibilities.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages all aspects of the marketing strategy for the assigned platform and in close alignment with the regional platform marketing leader; is responsible for developing and communicating the marketing and business plans for the portfolio.

  • Drives the business to achieve and surpass sales, profitability and related business goals and objectives for the platform.

  • Collaborates with Global, Regional and Country marketing counterparts to develop and execute a regional strategy to ensure achievement of platform goals and expectations.

  • Implements, and maintains "best practices" in brand marketing and product development marketing. This includes BD Way of Marketing and leveraging the BD Way of Selling.

  • Drives and manages regional marketing activities (and related budget) including :

  • Market research – market size/growth, competitive share and positioning, significant customer needs and major trends (macroeconomic, industry, regulatory, competitive, policy, etc)

  • Pricing – per product per country.

  • Tactical marketing mixes to maximize profitable revenue growth in the region

  • Marketing communications – advertising, promotions, digital marketing

  • Regional event strategy – trade shows, conventions, conferences

  • Monitor and report the execution and effectiveness of marketing plans/budgets.

  • Guide countries through successful new product launches as needed.

  • Develops customer relationships in conjunction with Medical Affairs, Strategic Access and country teams to establish multi-level relationships with Key Customers, Hospital Administrators, Advocacy groups and Industry forums to shape relevant policy, practices and clinical guidelines that provide BD with a competitive advantage.

  • Keep abreast of CASAJ market trends and be the voice of customer (VOC) to the global product development planning process. Create business cases for new opportunities within the region, engage with the WW platform and applicable country teams.

  • Act as a partner in the demand review process for assigned product lines with regional functional partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Nursing, Pharmacy or Medicine. MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in healthcare, medical device or diagnostics marketing experience, with proven success.

  • Cross functional team experience is required.

  • Having Regional experience and matrix organizational experience is preferred

  • Self- starter, with ability to plan ahead / envision and ensure timely execution.

  • Leadership ability to influence without authority, develop and empower associates to achieve objectives with a team approach including careful delegation of tasks while maintaining responsibility for the final result.

  • Strong customer focus, relationship management skills at senior levels, market intelligence and advanced research and analytical problem solving skills.

  • Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues, data and their consequences.

  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
