Abbott Operational Excellence Specialist in Singapore, Singapore

Primary Function:

  • Drives and facilitate s Operational Excellence (OpEx) within Abbott Manufacturing (AMS) site through the deployment of OpEx systems and related tools.

  • Responsible for creating an environment and assisting leadership and customers in the timely and successful completion of cost effective, strategic project and business improvement opportunities.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert regarding process/continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques.

  • Lead and support continuous improvement programs and projects

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support implementation of process improvement projects in the plant to streamline workflow.

  • Perform data collection and job re-design for standard work implementation at the shop floor.

  • Perform data collection and analysis on long term production issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems.

  • Lead, support and run cost improvement projects such as performing trials, engineering studies, flushing reduction projects.

  • Manage and continously improve current site OpEx programs, processes and tools such as workstreams, management operating systems, SLAs etc.

  • Conduct Yellow Belt, RCA and 6S training.

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or related discipline

  • LSS Green Belt certified and Black Belt trained/certified preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Well-verse in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab.

  • Experienced in implementing improvement ideas/ projects.

  • Experienced in coaching/mentoring/ training Yellow Belt.

  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
