Job Overview

The location for the position is in Asia.

Digital Data Networks Private Brand Labeling (PBL) is a virtual plant to support the Business Unit Digital Data Networks (DDN) growing business. Align with DDN business strategy, DDN PBL’s strategy is to grow and develop the business globally. PBL team needs to manage the suppliers globally to achieve established goals in revenue, gross margin, quality, Delivery, service, capability and capacity. PBL aligns strategy and execution with cross functional partners such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Product manager , sales and functional owners.

The primary objectives of the role are to drive the business and gross margin growth as the P&L owner. Set up global supplier pool to support the business growth and implement long-term strategy that focuses on Quality, NPI, Delivery, business and margin growth and market share reinforcement , VAVE and Lean production required in PBL Success Path which is more closely impacting the business as one of the key driver of growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Develops and drives strategy for PBL global level.

• Long term business planning.

• P&L owner, need to responsible for PBL virtual plant P& L, drive business and margin growth.

• Ensures strategies and suppliers are focused on business and margin growth NPI, Cost, customers Delivery, customers Quality, market share reinforcement required in PBL Success Path.

• Understanding the market trends and TE product road map and prepare the suppliers pipeline to support the business.

• To support DDN strategy, develop and grow the suppliers globally.

• Lead a global team with inclusive and diversity.

• Lead NPI introduction with BL products.

• Intelligent collections and provide information to TE Market and PM team for new products and new technology in market.

• Proactively promote New products from suppliers /market to PM to enrich TE product portfolio.

• Manage the capex and investment for PBL projects.

• Supplier management from introduction to balanced scorecard management to suppliers exit.

• Products management from NPI to mass production to EOL

• Continuously keep working on Infrastructure enhancement and procedures review and process improvement.

• Drive VAVE with Engineering team.

• Through SOP process, enhance supplier capacity and capability management to ensure ECE to our end customers.

• Suppliers quality management and ensure Year-over-year 20% quality performance improvmenet.

• Drive PBL continous improvement certification and meet the target of Star level 5 in 3 years.

• Drive continous improvement tool application with key suppliers for continuous improvement for suppliers process control and efficiency improvement and share the Winwin with TE.

• Works with Subvertical Procurement teams in initiatives to achieve positive results for company

• Regular Scorecard reviews with strategic suppliers

What your background should look like:

• BA/BS in Engineering, mechanical or other relevant discipline

• 20 years+ experience. Last 10 years should be in senior management level

• Strong people & organizational leadership skills

• Good English skills with fluent conversational communication ability

• Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of PBL supplier base, strategic sourcing processes and negotiations

• Should have direct operation hands on and lead manufacturing

• Plant GM experience is a must

• Product management or sales experience is an advantage

• Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment with minimal supervision

• Capable of independently leading multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong data mining and analysis skill-set

• SAP module MM and Office package (xls, doc, ppt) is needed
