Aon’s Centers for Innovation and Analytics are at the heart of delivering Aon’s Data & Analytic Services team’s mission to: Accelerate the rate of innovation through digital solutions to help better respond to clients’ evolving needs. Provide foundational data and analytics capabilities in one place for 50,000 Aon colleagues and our global clients who use our risk and people solutions.
Established in 2012, there are over 100 colleagues in Singapore’s Centre today including actuaries, software developers, data scientists, financial analysts and accountants. We are expanding rapidly and looking for dedicated individuals who can leverage emerging technologies and collaborate across Aon’s solution lines to help clients and colleagues make better, data-driven decisions today and tomorrow.
What the day will look like
Brainstorm innovative ways to use our unique data to answer business problems.
Provide technical leadership in a team that generates business insights, identify impactful recommendations, and communicate the findings to clients.
Collaborate with a team of experienced actuaries, data engineers, developers, and business experts to deliver on Aon’s data, analytics and reporting capabilities.
Develop elegant, and effective methodologies to solve complex business problems.
Work with large datasets spanning health, wealth, and talent domains to identify key insights.
Build pipelines for data cleaning, and data transformation while ensuring good code quality.
Partner with business experts to enrich the data and find meaningful relationships/insights that can be applied to build actionable solutions.
Build statistical and machine learning models to solve the business problem.
Design, develop, test, improve, and document analytical solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
Implement automation, when possible, to streamline the process, and minimize manual intervention.
Mentor junior colleagues and communicate with stakeholders.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. in engineering, statistics, economics, or any other equivalent discipline with a strong statistical background.
Experience working with defined contributions data, pension modeling and asset/interest rate analysis.
Experience working with time series data sets and analysis.
5+ years of hands-on experience with data cleaning, analysis, modeling, and result interpretation.
Experience working in product teams with focus on designing and developing analytical capabilities.
Recent working knowledge of SQL, Python, and PySpark. Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
Ability to handle projects with ambiguity in requirements and handle multiple projects at a given time.
Fluent presentation and communication skills and ability to convey technical analyses and information in a clear and concise manner to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Understand the importance of performance and able to implement best practices in ensuring performance and maintainability for data-centric projects.
Quick and eager student of new technologies as and when they are needed.
