Abbott Business Systems Analyst in Singapore, Singapore

Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

  • Monitors and maintains systems and resolves problems.

  • Analyzes software and hardware problems and coordinates workable solutions.

  • Performs system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.

  • Ensures availability of systems and application environments through proactive as well as reactive maintenance.

  • Ensures policies and standards adherence is consistent with Corporate/ Division standards.

  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures that IT applications meet the needs of the organization.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties on IT applications related subjects.

  • Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours.

  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment of both infrastructure and applications.

  • Able to execute IT projects applied locally or by globally

  • Keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Customers.

  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT technical expertise to Engineering and Manufacturing system Operations.

  • Ability to perform detailed operational analysis of data collection and controls software.

  • Solution testing and validation documentation.

  • Leadership in building and maintaining outside (vendor) technical resources in support of solution implementation and maintenance.

  • Investigate/ troubleshoot control systems to allow optimization of system operations.

  • Communicate with project teams for regular updates, reports, and customer project evaluations.

  • Conduct technical training sessions for internal and external customers on varied control systems.

  • Taking design review leadership to assure the solution meets operation’s needs.

  • Ensure that the testing and change control strategies meet corporate policy requirements.

  • Integration of hardware, software, communication protocols and interfaces to the users.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing or IT related disciplines.

  • 3-5 years of related experience in IT business systems support/data management

  • Experienced with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) in Pharmaceutical/Food manufacturing required

  • Experience with SCADA / PLC programming is advantage

  • Knowledge of validation

  • SAP knowledge; technical and functional POMSNet knowledge will be added advantage, ability to interface between various systems/ applications

  • Comfortable to support ad-hoc urgent troubleshooting when required outside of working hours if required
