Actalent Distribution Planner in Silver Spring, Maryland
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level Distribution Planner to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. You will be directly involved in supporting our active and growing Pepco/Exelon portfolio. Your tasks will include a variety of responsibilities such as regular field visits to project sites for data collection and measurements, supporting the design and development of various electrical distribution projects, and preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates. You will also be expected to perform calculations and engineering designs as well as manage multiple projects in a cost-effective manner based on project budgets.
Skills & Qualifications
Pepco Experience Preferred but not required
1-2 years of experience within power distribution preferred
0-2 years of experience in the design/engineering space
0 years; must have CAD knowledge from school or accredited program
Proficient with GIS and Asset Suite 8 preferred but not required
Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Reliable transportation - attending field visits around the DC/Metropolitan area are required
Work Environment
You will be part of an active, growing team, working on various electrical distribution projects. This role requires regular field visits and a strong ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A reliable mode of transportation is required for field visits around the DC/Metropolitan area. This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Silver Spring, Maryland and some days remote.
