SAIC Business Process Analyst in SILVER SPRING, Maryland
Description
SAIC is seeking a Business Analyst to support the evolution of our National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) as they migrate on-premise applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This position requires a broad range of skills to support business process analytics, requirements management, service requests, technical documentation, and systems operations. The selected candidate will support more senior technical team members across a broad spectrum of cloud implementation and management activities. Candidate will be afforded opportunities to extend their skillsets and achieve professional growth.
Responsibilities :
Support the Architect, Engineer, and DBA in managing and maintaining Oracle Cloud Instances.
Assist the onboarding and migration team.
Assist the Architect, Engineer, and DBA in managing system patches and releases for cloud-based applications. This includes developing and distributing communications to the user community and stakeholders regarding these activities.
Assist the Architect, Engineer, and DBA in continuously monitoring system performance and recommending improvements.
Document all relevant needs, issues, requirements and other items into a tracking system, such as JIRA or GIT, to inform technical fixes and tenancy level needs.
Triage service requests and complex issues, effectively communicating business impact and resolutions by collaborating with business users, utilizing troubleshooting skills and functional expertise.
Support security standards within the environment.
Support ticketing, issue tracking and management, and other operational processes to support the efficient operation and maintenance of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Assist with developing documentation and training materials.
Support the onboarding team in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout all migration processes.
Assist in the execution of testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate system configurations and ensure compliance with functional and technical specifications.

Qualifications
· Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.
· Seven (7) experience or more years of demonstrated experience in the following:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Hands-on functional/product and/or technical experience in an IT Infrastructure environment, preferable cloud based and/or worked with L1/L2/L3 level support; and/or have equivalent knowledge.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SQL.
Strong data analysis skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to relate the product functionality to business processes, and thus offer implementation advice to customers on how to meet their various business scenarios.
Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving user issues, answering business questions, and providing data analysis to support decision-making.
Should be able to understand the business process flow and perform functional testing as per the business requirement with appropriate test scripts.
Ability to develop, document and utilize templates for operations and maintenance, requirements gathering, governance and other items as needed.
Knowledge of an IT Service Management (ITSM) procedures and practices.
