Join the pack at the JP! Wolfspeed is looking for a Technician to join our Wafer Operations Process Engineering team at the world’s largest silicon carbide manufacturing complex in Siler City, North Carolina.
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for supporting sustaining actions such as tool calibrations and reviewing non-conforming material.
This posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the John Palmour Manufacturing Center for Silicon Carbide, our expansion site in Siler City, NC. The person in this role will train at our Durham, NC headquarters initially and will move over to the new site once ready.
The person in this role will work a dedicated 12-hour day/night shift in support of our 24x7 Materials operations.
The Day-to-Day:
Maintain tool recipes to control process output.
Handle dispositions of non-conforming material.
Perform special processing of material as requested by Engineering
Monitor SPC charts for key metrics such as
yields, cycle time and utilization
Attain 100% certification on all processes in the department.
Ensure that all EH&S safety policies are followed.
Order, inspect, and stage WIP for production processes.
Monitor and maintain 5S standards for sub-inventory locations
This Job is Right for You if You Have:
Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Have a positive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Must be able to walk or stand majority of a shift
Must be able to work 12-hour day/night shifts on a Front End/Back End shift pattern
Preferred Qualifications:
AS or BS in Engineering or a STEM-related field
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
