Supervisor, Aftermarket & Distribution BH Job ID: 780 SF Job Req ID: 9341 Supervisor, Aftermarket & Distribution Job Title: Supervisor, Aftermarket & Distribution Location: Sidney, OH Responsibilities: Supervises and coordinates daily operation of a production shift in a busy shipping and receiving area including crating, pick and ship, material handlers and cycle counters. Responsibility for achieving maximum quality and cost effectiveness in an on-time and efficient manner. Actively participates in all areas of employment, associate relations, and associate development while promoting total employee involvement. Supervises the activities of production associates to achieve objectives with regard to quality, cost and time. Evaluates the performance of associates and completes necessary reports. Recommends training/development needs. Ensures a safe work place is provided for all employees; frequently inspects department for safety compliance. Completes accident reports and schedules appropriate follow-up reviews; identifies accidents related to operator/machine error and initiates necessary training to prevent future accidents. Leads a team of Cycle Counters, with the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of warehouse and plant inventory balances. Management and maintenance of the cycle count process per standard work, including, but not limited to: selection of parts to be counted, cycle count method and technique, reconciliation of counts to perpetual records, root cause analysis for errors. Responsible for forklift training, licensing, record keeping and disciplinary actions regarding lift truck incidents. Create/establish and own/operate the action plans, countermeasures, and other critical inventory reports. Work to develop a warehousing strategy to increase picking efficiencies, storage locations, and warehouse rationalization. Responsible for receiving goals and auditing correct receiving process and procedures. Communicates daily with IR customer service team, customers and sales teams. Reviews daily and weekly shipping schedules and production capabilities to assure all deadlines are met. Coordinates and expedites hot parts and assigns rework. Inspects and monitors production quality and equipment. Ensures quality procedures/practices are applied to the process, tooling, and equipment to achieve expected quality improvements. Supervises the utilization of materials to assure an appropriate amount of parts are available to maintain smooth production flow; identifies wasteful practices and methods; reports any problems/concerns with viable solutions to the Manager, and, reports suggestions recommended by associates for procedure change, etc. Promotes commitment to quality through attitude, behavior, communication, and development/implementation of programs and activities. Communicates/updates shift management of daily problems and concerns, identifying areas needing attention to ensure the continuity of the operation. Basic Qualifications: APICS Certification (CPIM (preferred), CPM, CSCP, etc) - highly preferred BA / BS degree in Supply Chain or similar field - highly preferred Five to ten (5-10) years of experience Key Competencies: Uses data analysis and excellent processes to help predict problem areas and identify areas of opportunity.
