Description:
The Director of Business Applications & Data Management is a leadership role responsible for establishing and driving the strategic direction, management, and optimization of business applications and data infrastructure for the HVACR Americas business. This position will be accountable for leading business optimization initiatives through the implementation, enhancement, and governance of business-critical solutions and ensure that data is effectively leveraged across the organization to optimize decision-making, operational efficiency, and employee experience. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align digital solutions with business needs, optimize workflows, and ensure the organization is making data-driven decisions and providing enhanced data experiences to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Business Optimization & Applications Management:
Lead the development and execution of a roadmap for business applications and broader digital solutions that aligns with the company’s business goals, technology strategy, and lean principles.
Partner with key business stakeholders to identify business challenges, focused on removing waste and improving experience through process and system advancements.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization, promoting the adoption of best practices and new technologies.
Provide strategic direction and optimization of key business applications, including ERP systems, shop floor applications, cloud-based 3rd party solutions, and other enterprise software tools.
Partner with Enterprise and Global teams to align business needs to broader enterprise application strategies; lead / support execution of key programs.
Engage and manage relationships with third-party solution providers to support continuous business enablement through advanced systems and services.
Data Management:
Partner with business stakeholders and Enterprise Data & Analytic teams to define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that enables business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
Establish and implement data management practices, ensuring data quality, consistency, security, and privacy across all data assets to best serve employees and customers.
Work with key stakeholders to establish clear data definitions, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business success.
Promote data literacy across the organization, helping business leaders and teams understand and use data to drive business outcomes.
Program Management & Execution:
Lead the planning and execution of business optimization, application, and data-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.
Develop project timelines, resource allocation plans, and risk mitigation strategies for complex business initiatives.
Collaborate with IT and business leaders to ensure the alignment of digital solutions with business objectives.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, translating business requirements into digital solutions.
Ensure ongoing support and maintenance of business applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent) is a plus.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in business applications management, data strategy, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with ERP, cloud-based technologies, and other enterprise-level business applications (e.g. Oracle eBS, CPQ, Salesforce, Snowflake, PowerBI, Azure, AWS).
Strong understanding of data architecture, engineering, insights, and governance frameworks.
Hands-on experience in driving data strategy, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
Expertise in data analytics and business analytic tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.).
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
Knowledge of data privacy laws and best practices.

Additional Information:
Travel: 15-25%

Flexible Work Schedule:
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the HVACR Americas business unit. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
