A Housekeeper needs to clean the work area to the standards of their employer. This requires attention to detail, physical strength, and the stamina to work long shifts. Laundry Attendants perform multiple tasks ranging from washing and folding laundry items to operating commercial laundry and steam cleaning equipment. Some main Laundry and Housekeeping Attendant job duties and responsibilities include:

• Ability to think for yourself and see what needs to be done without being told
• Must have the ability to organize housekeeping supplies, laundry, guest rooms, etc.
• Must work well under stress, be dependable, show up when scheduled and be on time
• Understand the companys policy on work shifts, guests possessions and privacy issues

``` - Provide basic housekeeping duties including cleaning bathrooms, refrigerators, microwaves, changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out - Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service - Report cases of property damage or theft in commercial spaces to supervisor - Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift - Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests - Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies - Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass - Collect and remove trash and debris from guest rooms, laundry room and outside trash bins - Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linens - Report, turn in and log all lost and found items - Clean upholstered furniture - Perform detailed deep cleans when required including shampooing carpets, cleaning walls, etc - A housekeeper/laundry assistant is responsible for carting out all cleaning and laundry duties
