The Position: Patient Accounts Director

Employment status: Full-Time

Hours per two-week pay period: 80

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 9-12 Patient Accounts professionals

  • Oversee all aspects of patient billing, including insurance claims, denial resolution, and self pay billing.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing best practices

  • Work closely with other departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the billing team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • A solid understanding of patient billing practices and healthcare regulations

  • Knowledge of critical access hospital billing is a plus

    Education

  • High school diploma

    Certifications and Licenses

  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) through HFMA required within 1 year of hire

    Sidney Health Center is seeking a Patient Accounts Director to join our I CARE team in the Patient Accounts setting. If you have experience in medical billing and are ready for a director-level position overseeing a dedicated team, we want to hear from you! This is a hands-on supervisory role focusing on the management of our billing operations. You will supervise a team of 9-12 Patient Accounts employees, ensuring that all billing processes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulations.
