The position will identify, present and negotiate contracts with corporations, organizations, VA, military hospitals, hospital groups, and community colleges in order to generate inquiries for recruiting prospective students and for marketing the Company’s nursing and other education programs. This unique role encompasses promotion, outreach, marketing, public relations and healthcare while representing a fast-growing leader in nursing education. In partnership with our education and marketing teams, you will cultivate strong relationships and develop strategic opportunities for growth. Your exceptional presentation and people skills will be tremendously valuable as you represent Chamberlain at a variety of engagements, including job fairs, orientations, graduations, “lunch and learns” and other meetings.
Location/Territory/Travel %: The ideal candidate will reside in the Shreveport, LA area and will manage accounts in the northwest corner of Louisiana; as well as parts of Arkansas and West Mississipi. Around 80% of your time will be spent traveling; while the other 20% you will be working from home.
Presents partner contracts to prospective organizations, negotiates contracts
Secures inquiries via presentations to industry leaders that promote educational programs for potential students
Nurtures and maintains relationships with C-Suite partner contacts at finalized partner organizations
Stays current with trends and initiatives within the healthcare and educational industries, gathers and communicates strategic information and recommends marketing changes or modifications, as appropriate
Produces activity reports on a weekly basis in a clear and concise format
Participates in activities such as attending healthcare industry and nursing career fairs, trade shows and conferences for the purposes of promoting Chamberlain, establishing inquiry generation contacts, and presenting Chamberlain's educational products
Maintains ongoing communication and collaborates on sources with our Clinical Coordination Office
Utilizes competent administrative skills to accomplish tasks on time and within budget
Completes all standard and ad hoc reports as needed
You have earned your Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant discipline. If you have also earned your Master’s degree, that is even better
You have 5+ years of successful business development experience, including managing a sales process
You have 2+ years providing services and/or education directly to the healthcare industry
You have, or can establish, strong relationships with local corporations,VA, military hospitals, hospital groups, community colleges and organizations in the healthcare management industry
You are motivated, ambitious and energetic, with a service and strategic mindset
You have the capacity to consistently communicate effectively, both verbally and as a writer
You have an appealing personality and are capable of quickly building rapport and inspiring trust, naturally effective when interacting with a wide variety of people in individual and group environments
You are flexible and adaptable, recognized as a team player who enjoys collaboration and sharing successes
You consistently make ethical decisions and can focus on doing what is best for students and Chamberlain University
Must reside in the designated area/territory (AR, LA, or MS).
Must be able to travel by car up to 80%, including overnight travel.
