Robert Half Legal Assistant in Short Hills, New Jersey
Description Our client, a boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a concentration in Federal Court Litigation to join their esteemed law firm. The ideal candidate will have preferred experience in Intellectual Property (IP) cases and will be responsible for crucial administrative duties.
Responsibilities Include:
Preparing document shells and ensuring they are accurately formatted for attorney completion.
Managing all aspects of the docketing and calendaring systems to maintain vital dates and deadlines.
Preparing expense reports in a timely and efficient manner.
Arranging travel accommodations – flights, hotels, car services, etc., for attorneys as needed.
Providing general administrative support to attorneys including dealing with phone calls, handling mail and faxes, maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, etc.
Assisting with trial preparations and document management.
Performing other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of legal assistant experience in Federal Court Litigation is required.
Familiarity with Intellectual Property (IP) cases is highly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of legal management software.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and courts.
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in related field, Paralegal certification is a plus.
