The Water Quality Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Senior Wastewater Permit Developer/Facility Manager (Environmental Specialist 4) position.   This position is located in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"} or in our *Bellingham Field Office (BFO) in Bellingham, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"}. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $5,608 - $7,543 per month.  

In this position, you will help protect and restore Puget Sound water quality. You will develop and oversee National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and State Waste Discharge permits to ensure that wastewater from industrial and commercial activities is managed to protect and restore water quality. You will work with engineers, environmental specialists, hydrogeologists, and scientists within the Ecology Water Quality Program, as well as other Ecology programs and agencies. *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for current and future generations. *  * *Program Mission: *The mission of the Water Quality Program is to ensure that all aquatic life and communities in the watershed experience cool, clean water to refresh and sustain us in a changing climate. *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will be eligible for hybrid-work schedule after successful completion of probationary period.
