Maplewood Farm Market, LLC Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

4 Full-Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 03/17/2024 - 10/30/2024.

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Workers will plant, harvest, stake, transplant, load, and grade various types of fruit and vegetables. Workers will have some duties in a greenhouse. The worker will be required to use various hand tools provided by the employer. Worker will safely operate tractors, transplanter and other farm vehicles as directed. General farm work tasks the worker must be able to perform include: field cleanup including pulling weeds, maintain crops, laying plastic, gathering plastic, picking up trash, and pulling and palletizing stakes. Fruits and vegetables will include, but are not limited to strawberries, strawberry plugs and cuttings, sweet corn, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, sugar peas, beans, and ornamental flowers. Job includes working in the fields and greenhouses. This work can require standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds for long periods of time indoors outdoors in all weather conditions. This work requires adherence to important food safety and quality standard operating procedures and the ability to work quickly and consistently alongside fellow workers with a positive, professional, team-based attitude and a consideration for the safety and health of fellow workers and of the consumers who will purchase and consume the fresh produce grown, harvested, packed, and shipped from the farm. Workers must be able to communicate in English and by line of sight. The employer reserves the right to pay production bonuses to workers.
