Eaton Corporation Shipping Material Handler- 2nd Shift in Sherman, Texas
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler- 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21.20 plus .60 shift differential per hour. HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM
What you’ll do:
Collect order notes to fulfill deliveries
Pick out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Securely shrink-wrap items before placing them in boxes or on pallets
Operate handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
Load delivery vehicles
Update stock inventory after each item is retrieved
Manage stock control, including item replenishment and storage
Position Criteria:
Receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
Perform general warehouse duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Must have a minimum of six (6) months of Forklift experience both stand-up and sit down required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong product knowledge.
Skills:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, or bending with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
