Job Title: Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder proficient in MIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in layout, positioning, and securing plasma and cut parts using a straightedge. The role involves welding in various positions including vertical up, vertical down, horizontal, and overhead. The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and read and interpret CAD drawings.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding tasks in various positions such as vertical up, vertical down, horizontal, and overhead.
Layout, position, and secure plasma and cut parts using a straightedge.
Read and interpret CAD drawings to understand project specifications.
Ensure all welding work meets the required standards and specifications.
Handle materials and equipment safely, adhering to all safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding.
Experience with fabrication and fitting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
Knowledge of stainless steel welding.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment
Our facility is temperature-controlled with music playing over speakers throughout the shift. We provide all necessary PPE and tools, including work gloves, protective glasses, and hearing protection. Steel toes are required and must be provided by the employee. The facility is clean, organized, and recently updated with new restrooms, office spaces, and a paved parking lot. The shift is from 7:00am to 3:30pm with little to no overtime currently.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sheridan, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
