JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Shenango has an immediate opening for the part time Women's Softball Head Coach.
Penn State Shenango is a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). This is a part-time opening reporting to the Director of Athletics.
Job Duties
Organization and administration of all phases of a comprehensive softball program, including practice and game preparation, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, scheduling, academic monitoring, and team fundraising.
Ability to effectively motivate student-athletes is essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards, healthy lifestyles, demonstrated leadership skills, ability to manage team dynamics, and a commitment to USCAA, PSUAC, and NCAA regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Successful background in coaching softballexperience preferred.
The successful candidate should provide evidence of the ability to build a winning program consistent with the values of the USCAA, PSUAC, and the mission of Penn State Shenango.
Additionally, an understanding of, and commitment to, PSUAC, USCAA, and NCAA Rules and Regulations is required.
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
