Business Development Manager At BrightStar Care of Sterling Heights, our purpose is improving lives and providing “Peace of Mind” through our higher standard of care. We are seeking a hunter; a qualified Account Manager to expand our reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships in western Macomb County territory, and surrounding areas. BrightStar Care of Sterling Heights is a Joint Commissioned Accredited, private-duty Home Care Company, providing a high-quality home care experience. We are seeking a hunter; an experienced sales and business development professional who can create and establish new opportunities for our agency Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in (produce contacts), take the lead, use initiative, and be responsible for increasing revenue by establishing new staffing contracts, maintenance of current contracts, and managing advertising/marketing/PR efforts. The right fit for this position will exemplify being highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company mission. Responsibilities: * Call on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics, and facilities to generate sales for both private duty homecare, and private duty skilled homecare. * Call on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics and eldercare and assisted living facilities to generate sales for the medical staffing division. * Meet or exceed established sales targets. * Develop marketing plan for new or existing territory. * Join and attend area networking and chamber groups. * Seek, develop, and participate in marketing opportunities in the community. * Establish working rapport with health care professionals in the territory. * Grow an active customer and lead database in assigned territory and surrounding markets, promoting the company’s products and services including private duty, skilled services, and medical staffing. * Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the company’s products, services, pricing, and their value to the potential clients. Skills/Abilities: * 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience. * Proven ability to generate leads and monitor referrals, manage the territory, build and maintain lasting relationships with colleagues, key business partners and new and existing customers. * Ability to solve problems, achieve goals and thrive in a results-driven, fast-paced team environment. * Wants the challenge and competition, willing to take risks with a strong desire to be in the field face-to-face with clients, and referral sources every day. * Experience with public speaking and presentation skills with strong persuasive and educational communication skills both written and verbal. * Self-starter with proven time management and attention to detail; comfortable working with little to no direction demonstrating exceptional interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. * Exceptional customer service skills. * Strong closing skills. * Commitment to excellence in all tasks, and a professional presence. * Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits and other events. * Proficient in using computers, CRM, software applications, and social media channels. * Demonstrated working knowledge of healthcare in the home or institutional setting a plus. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management or communications, preferred but not required. * Proven ability to generate leads and monitor referrals, to manage a sales territory, maintaining and building relationships with new and existing contacts. * Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the home healthcare industry preferred * Staffing experience is highly desired. * Experience with public speaking (in addition to presentation skills). Strong at persuasive and educational writing and speaking. * Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and problem solving. * Demonstrate working knowledge of health care in home and institutional setting. * Comfortable with closing/asking for business. * Exhibit outstanding organizational skills and a service attitude towards the community. * Excellent written and oral skills. * Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
