Teksouth Corporation Financial Services Expert in Shaw AFB, South Carolina

Position: Financial Services Expert

Location: Shaw AFB - onsite 4 days/week

Job Overview: Teksouth is seeking a Financial Services Expert to support key military, civilian, and travel pay functions at Shaw AFB. This role involves processing and research across various financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop internal controls to ensure audit readiness.

  • Process United States Savings Deposit Program (USSDP) transactions for active duty, guard, and reserve personnel.

  • Analyze and post partial/casual payments to military pay records; validate input accuracy.

  • Perform audits, research, and input adjustments to military pay records based on standardized regulations.

  • Manage emergency and R&R leave postings and ensure accuracy in pay records.

  • Provide reach-back support for deployed financial managers, resolving routine and complex pay/travel issues.

  • Transfer military pay disbursement/collection documents to DFAS for updates.

  • Audit and validate pay entitlement postings for USAF personnel in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

  • Ensure resolution of cases submitted via the Case Management System (CMS).

  • Reconcile BPAC 510 and 530 Merged Accountability and Fund Reporting (MAFR) with posted transactions.

  • Research and resolve discrepancies identified by DFAS in MAFR/CDS reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance required.

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).

  • Experience with Air Force Financial Services (MilPay, CivPay, Travel Pay).

  • Familiarity with financial systems such as CRIS, DJMS, DCPS, DTS, and DEAMS.

  • FM accounting experience is preferred.
