Job purpose:

To monitor sales targets and contribute to the sales plan of Ford & Lincoln to achieve high levels of sales, profits, and wide customer base.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Manage sales process for Ford & Lincoln and communicate sales plan & targets to the sales team in each of the showrooms in the region, while providing them with sufficient inputs, guidance, and motivation

  • Provide budgetary inputs and agree on the annual sales plan in alignment with overall sales targets of Al Tayer Motors and Ford & Lincoln’s sales targets, associated budget, and forecast profitability for relevant showrooms, monitor performance against it, initiating corrective action where necessary to ensure business is developed within the agreed financial parameters and number of units.

  • Review and monitor future sales plan implementation and results achieved on a regular basis in each showrooms in the region. Communicate any changes to the sales plan with General Manager in order to adapt to unexpected changes in the business environment.

  • Contribute to the development of pricing policies and ensure proper implementation of pricing policies.

  • Ensure understanding and knowledge of all teams of current pricing and marketing activities

  • Review all prospects and where they were generated from.

  • Deal with critical problems and major customer complaints or issues that may be escalated from different showrooms and ensure prompt action or decisions for timely resolution.

  • Ensure standards set by principals are implemented effectively across the Ford & Lincoln Sales teams in the region.

  • Ensure corrective action plans related to dealer standards are effectively communicated and implemented.

  • Participate and ensure compliance to dealer standard audits.

  • Provide recommendations and corrective action plans in order to address dealer standards problems and opportunities in relations to sales.

  • Liaise with appropriate internal stakeholders such as Customer Interaction Center to provide customers with efficient sales support.

  • Ensure proper coordination with sales support team for facilitation of sales processes

  • Ensure offer creation is properly prepared, valued, and generated for customers using the appropriate medium required.

  • Ensure efficient vehicle ordering and distribution with proper communication with customers in each of the showrooms.

  • Establish and maintain a network of business contacts and relationships within the market to increase.

  • Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.

  • Guide, motivate, and evaluate subordinates on their performance, productivity and progress, while identifying training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices.

  • Ensure that team members acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs including product/brand related training, while identifying the appropriate gaps and training costs/benefits to ensure budgetary parameters are met.

  • Market awareness and obtain market/competitor intelligence and customer preference information

  • Ensure potential successors are identified, developed, and trained for succession planning purposes.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical or business related discipline, with tertiary qualification in sales

  • Minimum five to eight years of experience in Automotive Sales

  • Must be a native Arabic speaker.
