We are looking for a Visual Merchandising experts who process from planning through to execution with partnership of various stakeholders like Regional Marketing, Retail Operations, Retail Design,AssortmentPlanning with reporting to the Global Senior Visual Merchandising Manager embedded in-market (China) to bring a localised in store perspective to all campaigns, shopper communication, store design, play and brick activities.

The role of the Visual Merchandising Manager is to lead in-market planning and execution of curated product stories that engage, surprise and delight LEGO shoppers and consumers, responsible for aligning regional store activation to LEGO Retails global best-in-class Visual Merchandising principles, whilst identifying in-market opportunities to elevate and innovate.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establishes the regional principles for implementing in store marketing and communication across all store touch points (print and digital)

  • Supports the localised development of seasonal and shopper occasion marketing campaigns.

  • Works cross functionally with Global Visual Merchandising, Regional Marketing, Retail Development, and Retail Operations to curate strong product stories for retail messaging.

  • Generates theme, and audience principles by location.

  • Optimises product and audience storytelling though product placement.

  • Provides hands-on store VM support, guidelines, directives, training and development to Retail Operations.

  • Collaborates on all market activation – a regional expert at market and store level.

  • Takes a comprehensive view of the store shopper experience touch-points ensuring that store design, marketing and store messaging drives a focused shopper journey.

  • Active and visible member of LEGO Retail Marketing and Experience team

The LEGO Retail Experience & Marketing team brings the LEGO Retail strategy to life for shoppers and consumers.

Supporting the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager, this role is key to provide input to the Visual Merchandising development at a regional level.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 5-10 years experience with visual merchandising for a global brand retailer

  • Experience with planning and developing VM initiatives – ideally in a Support Centre / Head Office or regional / multi-site role

  • Experience with close collaboration with Marketing functions bringing campaigns to life in a store environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and superior creative skills (written, visual, and conceptual) and passion for retail storytelling.

  • A deep knowledge of visual merchandising the best local practices for retail

  • Up to date with retail trends, popular culture, and market trends to inspire new ideas

  • Exceptional ability to establish and cultivate relationships across business functions and creative teams.

  • Excellent working knowledge of the MS Office Suite;

  • Creative problem solver, resourceful, ambitious, and proactive

  • Calm and flexible approach, ability to manage multiple projects; and thrives in a global, fast-paced retail environment

  • Demonstrated management competencies such as: cross team collaboration, attention to detail and flexibility

Nice to have:

  • Photoshop and/or In Design a plus
