Position Summary

This position plays the role in China Sales Company, to develop product pricing strategy and also enhance pricing cell efficiency and effectiveness for business profitable growth.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

  • Report to China Country Managing Director. Dotted line to Strategic Pricing Manager, Asia Pacific.

  • Interface with commercial sales force for winning business and pricing strategy execution

  • Interact with division marketing/product engineering team for proper product strategy deployment

  • Lead pricing and quotation team for operation excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Deploy and manage Parker’s strategic pricing program in China sales company.

  • Responsible for the implementation of lean enterprise for pricing and quotation processes, drive continuous improvement to improve customer experience.

  • Develop and maintain list prices in conformance to company practices of competitive alignment and/or group strategy to continuously improve list price effectiveness and utilization.

  • Develop effective segmentation strategy and variance-based analysis to set up related product appropriate price guidelines or strategy.

  • Recognize and anticipate missing info to assure proper review of relevant facts with proper recommendations pertaining to business opportunity through PFEC/RFQ/I2O/LQE.

  • Be accountable for pricing data setting in all China related operation systems.

  • Follow up and monitor quotation and analyze win rate for further improvement.

  • Analyze market climate and competition to develop appropriate discount strategy.

  • Review and implement distributor tier pricing practices and list price & discount strategies.

  • Stay informed of product life cycle and develop value pricing strategy through Winnovation gateway review and localization program.

  • Maintain product and services knowledge and regularly monitors industry pricing practices, particularly for major competitors and distributors.

  • Provide monthly pricing metrics report through analyzing root cause and review with both operation and business team for improvement plan.

  • Be responsible for strategic pricing audit and compliance in sales companies of China.

  • Support regional and corporate report out cadence and data for Greater China pricing.

  • Coach and develop pricing team member for pricing capability and competency improvement.

  • Develop Pricing team talent and succession.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS in business/science management or equivalent combination of education

  • Effective analytical, problem solving, time management, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven understanding to commercial background for business case study

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software and data analysis tools

  • Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills
