Amazon Strategic Category Development Manager, Strategic Accounts in Shanghai, China

Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today, more than 50% of Amazon's total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 18 overseas stores, and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. Our vision is to be the first choice for all types of Chinese business to go globally.

Amazon is growing its Amazon Paid Service strategy aggressively around the world, and we are looking for a passionate, innovative and results-driven senior Account Managers (AM) with deep insights of categories to support China-based Sellers who enroll in Amazon Paid Services to maximize their presence and business in Amazon WW marketplace. This role will collaborate with paid AMs to provide customized service to enrolled Sellers’ on strategic domain issues and grow Sellers’ businesses globally. Moreover, this role will influence Paid Central team on paid service module design by deep diving Seller insights. She/He will enable overall AM team capability by scaling best practices and know how.

Key job responsibilities

1) Own and drive the strategic vision for Furniture, shaping its future direction for CN Sellers.

2) Dive deep category performance and identify business opportunities.

3) Lead XBR, 3YP, OP1. OP2 for this category development.

4) Innovate and disrupt the category, identify opportunities for the current Amazon solutions and pushing global innovation for CN Sellers.

5) ESM furniture category expert and support ESM team to scale up specialist category team in furniture

6) Mentor and coach others, sharing expertise and passion for category excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of account or relationship management, small business logistics, or retail/vendor/supplier management experience

  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

  • Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global contract negotiation

  • MBA
