Google Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Pixel Quality in Shanghai, China

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience in developing backend service and/or data pipeline that handles large volumes of data.

  • Experience in distributed computing, parallel computing, data-driven quality work and Android development.

  • Experience with building automation systems or testing infrastructure.

  • Ability to lead and drive projects and ramp up and learn quickly in a technically complex domain.

  • Ability to collaborate well both within and outside the team.

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the Pixel software quality for a delightful user experience. You will work closely with teams across multiple regions on software development, feature tuning, infra/tooling, product integration, and more.

  • Uphold engineering best practices (e.g., functional testing, performance testing, instrumentation, experiments, etc.).

  • Collaborate with partner teams across Google and help the team to push toward our strategic goals.
