Google Software Engineer, Android Better Together, Engineering Productivity in Shanghai, China

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++).

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 2 years of experience building software for Android.

  • Experience in Radio Frequency (RF) areas like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

In this role, you will work with a small team of passionate engineers on projects that have a broad impact across Google's product line. You will also work on a wide range of projects and learn new technologies and explore a variety of interesting technical problems.

  • Design solutions to enable complex automation for cross-platform multi-device scenarios across Google products.

  • Work with Better Together related developers to optimize their day-to-day workflows, ranging from Android Gerrit to open source git.

  • Work with Android partners to improve the user experience of Better Together features across the Android ecosystem.

  • Work with supply chain partners to build components needed for our automation solutions, such as SoC development boards, robotics.
