Basic Function / General Description:
Work with LDC-SH and global engineering team to develop and integrate high quality, cost competitive mechanical subsystem and components.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop high quality, cost competitive mechanical components, and system integration of these components.
Deliver engineering design (models, drawings, and other engineering data) in a flexible and reusable model product framework.
Create engineering deliverables as defined in Otis Product Development Process (PDP).
Work with global team to define the development requirements.
Conduct Finite element analysis (FEA) for strength analysis.
Conduct product design technical reviews with expertise team.
Accountability & M easures:
Job performance will be measured based on delivery of engineering center and individual objectives and on customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications, Work Experience & Skills Requirements:
3-5 years or above mechanical design experience. Elevator mechanical design experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Excellent ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with remote team members.
Experience in design for cost, manufacturing (sheet metal) and installation is required.
Experience in leading product development, from concept to production, is valued.
Knowledge of elevator mechanical components is valued.
Experience in modal analysis, noise and vibration measurement is valued.
Be skillful for CDA tools, such as ProE/Ansys.
Creative, open minded, critical thinker, hardworking and energetic with good teamwork ethic.
Self-motivation to learn and communicate with team to achieve the work target.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Mechanical Engineering, Master is preferred.
Language: Fluent in English writing and communication; CET-6 or equivalent
