The Coca-Cola Company Manager, Safety & Occupational Health in Shanghai, China

Responsible for implementation of safety and occupational health policies and programs; identifying risks or areas for improvement; explore solutions and practices fit for purpose to mitigate risks; investigates safety incidents and occupational illness; conducts safety & occupational health audits; seizing opportunities to drive safety culture change/mindset shift of bottling plants. Individual contributor that fully proficient in applying established standards; knowledge base acquired from several years of experience in particular area; works independently; may coach other professionals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO FOR US

  • Support to provide a strategic framework and to ensure a safety culture on bottler system that allows the organization to consistently identify and control safety and occupational health risks, reducing the potential for accidents, aid enforcement and improve overall performance.

  • Drive Safety & Occupational Health performance improvement and culture change at manufacturing facilities of bottlers and Co-packers.

  • Build bottler and co-packer people capability in Safety & Occupational Health programmes.

  • Keep update on methodologies and technologies to achieve occupational health and safety vision and goals of The Coca-Cola Company.

  • Establish relationships within the industry's top companies in order to capture best practices & training portfolios to be used or implemented.

  • Manage third party companies that support specific initiatives in the bottler system, example: behavior based safety, HOP, machinery safety assessment, road safety, fire safety etc.

Focus Areas :

  • Monitor and support bottlers and co-packer to achieve safety and occupational health goals for the division

  • Support accelerated progress of the H&S programs while ensuring a networked approach with peers at global level

  • Manage and execute the development of OU safety and occupational health improvement initiatives throughout the value chain to protect people and trademark integrity, and improve safety performance. Manage knowledge and best practices sharing across plants

  • Provide support to Franchise H&S Managers on implementing and monitoring implementation of all global H&S methodology, initiatives, standards and requirements for safe operations.

  • Providing advice/training to bottlers and co-packer people on safety and occupational health issues

  • Support H&S culture transformation to ensure culture excellence is a core value embedded in everything we do across the system.

Qualification & Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of machinery safety, LOTO, fire safety, electrical safety, fall protection, confined space entry, construction safety and road safety;

  • Relevant leadership experience with advanced influence skills; Audit skills;

  • Proven planning and organizing skills in a project oriented environment;

  • Safety Engineering background is preferred;

  • CSE and Certified Fire Safety Engineer is preferred;

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English;

  • 7+ years of occupational health and safety experience; experience in manufacturing plant safety role together with corporate role is preferred. Solid experience in fire safety and process safety management is a plus.
